Capt. Matt runs a 2023 - 24ft Bluewave with Mercury 350 H.P. 4 Stroke

This boat is fully equipped as well, including Radar, Depth/Fish Finder, AIS, 10ft.  Power Poles as well as a Minn-Kota iPilot with remote. This boat can easily fish up to 3 people, but we can take 4. The decks are  huge and have plenty of room for conventional tackle or fly fishing. Most days the ride to the fishing location is flat calm, however crossing some of the bays and the Mississippi River can get choppy and this boat easily runs thru it,  and stays dry. This boat also has a T-Top to get you out of the sun on those hot days.

Some of the best fishing in the Venice area is in shallow water, the boats we run are able to access just about any pond or canal where red fish live and feed. On the days that the Islands are producing trout, then this boat can run there no problem through open water most days. The boat also has Two live-wells, and two aerated well with recirc. to keep any live bait healthy and active. The fish box is huge and well insulated to keep all of your fish cold, even the hottest days.

We can also target Red Snapper, Cobia, and Triple-Tail (seasonal).

Triple-tail and Cobia fishing is best from August 1st through October 31st.

Red snapper season will run weekends only (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with a daily bag limit of three fish per person and a minimum size limit of 16 inches total length. The open season will also include the Monday of Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. The season will remain open until recreational landings approach or reach Louisiana’s annual private recreational allocation.
